Trump just signed an executive order telling his Defense Secretary and Attorney General to figure out how the U.S. military could be used for domestic law enforcement-yeah, the actual military, right here in our own cities. This isn’t just about dumping more military gear into the hands of local cops (which is already a disaster); they’re openly scheming about using military personnel, training, and “national security assets” to “prevent crime” and “crack down” on so-called sanctuary cities.
This is a direct attack on the Posse Comitatus Act, the law that’s supposed to keep the military out of civilian law enforcement. Trump’s order is looking for loopholes, pushing boundaries, and muddying the waters with all this talk about “national security” and “repelling invasions” at the border. Using the Insurrection Act to deploy troops on U.S. soil for law enforcement isn’t some fringe conspiracy anymore-it’s being actively plotted by people in power.
The military is not meant to police Americans. This is how a country slides into a police state. Giving law enforcement more power, more gear, and less oversight, while threatening to unleash the military on “soft-on-crime” cities, isn’t about public safety. It’s about control, intimidation, and shutting down anyone who stands in the way. This is the kind of authoritarian crap the United States has always claimed to stand against, and now it’s coming home.
